چکیده
The title compound, C(22)H(21)FO(2), exhibits substitutional disorder of the F atom and a H atom in the asymmetric unit with different occupancies, the refined F:H ratio being 0.80 (2):0.20 (2). The dihedral angle between the fluorinated benzene ring and the benzene ring of the chromanone system is 37.30°. There are two relatively high residual electron-density peaks associated with the disorder.

The compounds were identified as: 5,7-dihydroxy-3-(4-methoxybenzyl)-chroman-4-one (1), 7-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-chroman-4-one (2) and 4'-demethyl-3,9-dihydro-punctatin (3). This is the first phytochemical study carried out to Agave tequilana Weber.

The dihedral angle between the mean plane of the fused pyranone ring and the dimeth-oxy-substituted benzene ring is 89.72 (2)°. In the crystal, adjacent molecules are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions.
